Marie Josèphe Rose Tascher de la Page also known under the name of Joséphine de Beauharnais was the first wife of the Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte. During her life, she found refuge in the Reuil Malmaison castle that would soon become the center of her existence. Reckless spender and passionate about botany, she concentrated on building an atypical garden implanting species from her travels and reminding her of her Creole origins. Unable to give him an heir, Napoleon asked Joséphine for a divorce. From then on her garden would become a place of solitude and reassurance.
The muffled light of dawn slips through the flower beds. A fine shadow sneaks among the roses, jasmine, camellias and irises. With her delicate green thumb, she awakens the dazzling fragrances of a garden with an imperial destiny.
A collection of hand-crafted interior perfume atomisers in a selection of its iconic scents. The room sprays have been created in the style of antique atomisers with bottles in moulded green glass, which carry the Cire Trudon emblem, topped with an elegant golden ‘poire’ atomiser. Each glass is shaped by artisans from Vinci, in Italy.
