Clean, unique and pure. A fragrance made out of a single element called cetalox (also known as ambroxan). Originally created in the 1950’s and usually used in perfumery as a base note, here it plays the lead role. Another advantage of this particular composition is that it is entirely allergen free. The result is minimalist, elegant, pure: a fragrance that creates an effect different from traditional perfumes, a pheromone-like effect. Not a Perfume does not follow modern perfumery rules—it creates its own! Wear alone or layer with other fragrances for soft, gentle yet alluring fragrance.

How it wears
Not a Perfume Superdose is your more intense version of Not a Perfume. A woodier, deeper version, Superdose wears amazingly on the skin. This is the perfume to wear if Not a Perfume doesn't last or smell strong enough to your taste on your skin. It wears differently on everyone but it generally smells quite woody, fresh and clean on the skin. The Cetalox note wears similarly to Ambergris, so it smells soft and animalic, a little bit like Amber but cleaner and lighter. You can also layer Superdose with other perfumes to give them more woody depth. This one lasts all day long on the skin!

Why we love it
We love the original Not a Perfume a lot, however we have kind of fallen head over heels in love with the Superdose version. It is woodier and deeper and has great throw when on the skin. We actually just love wearing this on its own as it has more than enough of an impact to stand up on its own in the Juliette has a Gun collection!

About the brand
Created in 2005, Juliette has a Gun is the wonderful fragrance world of Romano Ricci. Born into fragrance royalty, Romano Ricci had perfume in his DNA as the great grandson of Nina Ricci. The Juliette has a Gun range was originally based solely around the rose—like a woman, Ricci says a rose is beautiful, intoxicating, delicate and thorny. The Juliette has a Gun range is contemporary, assertive and full of life. Ricci was inspired by the Shakespearean tragedy, Romeo and Juliette, however the modern Juliette in this story comes armed—she carries a weapon, her weapon is her scent. And she uses her scent for seduction, flirtation and provocation. Juliette has a gun is rock meet romance in a bottle.
